Did you know that Benefit wasn’t always, well, “Benefit?” Let’s take a trip back to 1976…in San Francisco’s colorful Mission district, Jean & Jane Ford opened a whimsical beauty boutique with a candy store atmosphere. It was called The Face Place, and it quickly became the local spot for ladies to hang for hours dishing about beauty and everything else under the sun.
Gals flocked to the boutique for those quick fixes and problem-solving beauty products that sit on shelves all over the world today. Today, San Fran is still home to our signature Benefit Boutiques…the decor has changed a bit, but the vibe remains the same!

Bene Beau….Color wash….I loved those…How about old scrapin the rail!
Oh yes, I love Benefit! I U guys gave me my start in this industry back in 1999 when I was 18! Now Im a Pro Makeup Artist. I saved all of my products. I still have this product called Color Wash for Eyes and Cheeks in the shade Can’t Be Bothered. Im afraid to use it because I can’t get anymore!!! haha
Thanks Benefit for seeing the talent in me!
WOW! You’re a true Bene-babe…love that you know the vintage shade names! :)
