Welcome our newest addition to the blogger family, Alyssa, aka the life of the product party. On any given day, I walk by her desk and she is playing with makeup. Yes, that’s her job. This is definitely the gal you want to know for upcoming makeup trends & ridiculously fun things to do in the City. I mean, we can’t be all work and no play, right?! Today, we meet Alyssa…
My favorite Benefit product is…brow zings, perfectly coiffed brows really do frame your face and create a polished and classic look
I’m most inspired by…my mom. I will never meet a harder working or more selfless person.
The five things I love/can’t live without…
- My various Apple products (don’t let the addiction to false lashes convince you, I’m a total nerd at heart)
- Sunday brunching with my besties
- Mexican food- one has never lived until they have experienced a California burrito
When I need creative inspiration I go to…anywhere in SF. There are so many amazing and unique neighborhoods in this small city you can’t help but be immersed in inspiration!
My first Benefit product was…high beam. This product made me fall in love with the Benefit brand. It’s your go to product if you look in the mirror and find yourself thinking “I still need a little something…”
My favorite place in San Francisco/Bay Area…Dolores Park on a sunny day. Not only can you get your tan on, but the people watching is AH-mazing!
The color wheel: My favorite color is…Bright pink, you can’t help but smile when you see that obnoxious pop of color.
My makeup trend I regret the most from when I was younger is…brown lip liner… it was the 90s — need I say more?
If I could live any other place I’d live in… Venice, Italy – but first I have to practice walking in 5 inch stilettos on cobblestone. How do those women do it!?
My creative outlet is…I love to clip out my fav celeb spreads in magazines and save them. It’s amazing to me how all the elements comes together to create such a beautiful snap shot in time.
My favorite Benefit moment…Product brainstorming sessions at Beauty Central; nothing is more exhilarating than working with the team to create products. It’s in those moments when I stop and realize that I really do have my dream job.
Thanks, Alyssa! She’s now back to work on blush colors for 2013, but stay tuned for her blog posts here!
