HOW TO

she’s so jetset

Everyone knows that the holidays are two months of chaos. Whether you’re hosting dinners and parties or bopping from one to the next, it’s a merry madness (mine tends to resemble that off-to-the-airport scene in Home Alone).

Luckily, Benefit has a few tricks to keep you looking your best with a new kit, she’s so jetset! With this little luxe makeup kit, you can pack everything you need in one small kit for a glamorous look on-the-go! Today, Anne shows you how to apply the kit in a few easy steps! Now it’s goodbye jetlag…hello jetset!

Included in she’s so jetset:

  • eyeshadow palette with four shades: champagne please, gold card, pretty in mink, elegant espresso
  • first-class face powder
  • life on the A list lip gloss gloss
  • they’re real! mascara mini
  • the POREfessional deluxe mini

To start, apply the POREfessional to moisturized skin to help makeup stay put & quickly minimize the appearance of pores. For mid-day touch-ups, pat lightly over makeup.

Next swirl  the included brush over first-class face powder and sweep onto the apples of your cheeks for a highlighting glow AND an irresistibly natural flush. Love it!

For daytime eyes, sweep champagne please! shadow all over eyelid and brow bone. To contour, work pretty in mink shadow into creases & outer corner of the eyelid (tilt your head back if creases are hard to see). For a bright, wide-awake look, apply the lightest eyeshadow to the center of your eyelids & the inner corners of your eyes.

For nighttime eyes, sweep gold card shadow all over eyelid. Work pretty in mink shadow intro creases & outer corner of the eyelid. Apply elegant espresso shadow along upper lash line. Smudge for added smokiness.

Finish with a coat of they’re real! mascara to achieve maximum volume, length, and lift!

Glide life on the A list lip gloss on lips for a chic, soft pink pout.

Ladies, get your ticket to hotness! You’re so luxe.

it’s what’s inside that counts

I think the way something is said reflects what the product is. That’s how I tell the fake boxes of makeup from the real ones. So, I agree with Ingrid and Sarah. Structure does count. It shows how important a company values its product.

      • I don’t see the big deal on the grammar. This isn’t a company trying to sell you health insurance, they’re trying to sell makeup. Makeup! Relax. There’s a little bit of room for them to be unprofessional or not structured. I actually like how they advertise their products with quirky descriptions. There are obviously BIG personalties behind the scenes marketing the products. It makes me want to buy it, and when I do I’m not let down. For instance, with the new Perk-up artist, the description reads “Perk it…then work it!” and I say to myself, then “twerk it!” I get pumped up about this makeup. And I think that’s a big hand clap for you, Benefit Cosmetics. Thank you for pumping me up to put on my makeup every morning!
