on-the-road accessorizing

In addition to the  savvy style I’ve seen around the office, it’s without question that many gals here at Beauty Central also have highly covetable jewelry collections. With my own holiday travel rapidly approaching, and festive fashion in full swing, it’s always difficult for me to decide which pieces are the chicest & most versatile to take with me.  Thus, I  consulted Benefit’s best-baubled beauties for tips on what to select. (It was also my excuse to take a peek at my colleagues adorn-able collections!)

“I’m going to Tokyo for the first time and am super excited! I tend to pack less clothes and more jewelry & accessories when traveling abroad just to keep my outfits fresh and my suitcase light. I pack earrings, bracelets and rings in this great travel box that came inside the larger jewelry box. I then pack necklaces in mini bags and store them all within a cosmetics bag for safe keeping!” –Tiffany, National Account Manager

“For packing, I like to put my necklaces in little bags (usually reused from a purchase) to help prevent them from getting tangled. This holiday season I’m traveling to Tampa, FL to visit my family.  I’ll be mixing chunky gold necklaces with some more delicate red necklaces, to add some variety to the classic looks.” –Meredith, Assistant Production Manager

“I am strictly old school when it comes to packing my jewels for traveling: all of my necklaces, earrings, rings and brooches are dropped into a small pouch from Sephora and stashed in my carry on for long flights. Every holiday season I travel back to the Midwest and wouldn’t dare to chance losing my favorite baubles by packing them in my checked luggage!” –Molly, Senior Manager of Product Marketing

“I’m heading to Tahoe for a snowy NYE celebration. Of course I’ll be packing warm clothes for skiing, but will definitely still be bringing sparkles and jewels to ring in the new year in style.”  –Jenny, Open Sell / Graphic Designer
