HOW TO

All in a Daydream’s Work: Jazz Singer

Stop me if you’ve heard this one: A guy walks into his office wearing an astronaut suit. Everyone stares, mouths agape. He says, “Always dress for the job you want, not the one you have.”

So maybe space suits aren’t your thing, but have you ever dreamed of being something else? A concert violinist? Sailor? Summer camp director?

Last month, we teamed up with the adorable and insanely creative Bri Emery of designlovefest to conjure up four inspirational dream jobs & their matching makeup looks.

A dreamy partnership

There’s one job in Bri’s mind that takes center stage: a sultry jazz singer.

Turn on some Duke Ellington and let’s make some magic!

We started Bri’s look with the ultimate in concealing, fakeup—our new hydrating crease-control concealer. Then we filled in and defined her brows with the brow zings brow shaping kit.

For her eyes, we used our NEW creaseless cream shadows! We swept no pressure over her lids & followed it with a longwear powder shadow in quick look busy and pinky swear. Every gal finishes her eyes with they’re real! mascara for dramatic lashes.

To catch the spotlight, we used benetint rose-tinted cheek stain and added watt’s up champagne highlighter. Layering this sheer champagne highlighter over a natural rose tint lit up Bri’s features with a cream-to-powder finish. We also smoothed it over her brow bones for extra glam!

And to really call attention to her lips, we layered on a lot of benetint. All of our stains are perfect for buildable color & multi-purpose.

How are these jobs “inspirational?” They’re not. Thanks for contributing to the idea that girls should work in fields that are glamorous, as opposed to anything math or science related. Or actually, I dunno, IMPORTANT? The least vapid job of choice was the detective. Jazz singer? Florist? Please.

  7. Chick Tyler says:

Wow! I definitely want this look!
