“Welcome to Hollywood!” This week on Under the Gunn the designers board a double decker sightseeing bus & get inspired by the sights and sounds of iconic Hollywood landmarks. Nothing was (or is) as elegant as old time Hollywood, so getting inspired for a tailored runway look was a breeze.
For this winning outfit, Designer Sam wanted a modern 1920s makeup look. See below for some behind-the-scenes Pretty Room pics & how to get the look.
A BEAUTIFUL BASE
For a flawless-looking face, Scott Patric’s beauty team starts with a powder cover-up. Hello flawless gives just the right amount of coverage to ensure the other elements get noticed.
WHERE THERE’S SMOKE…
For a twist on the smokey eye, go for warm chocolate brown instead of the standard charcoal. A brown liner, like the one in the peek-a-bright eyes kit, really makes the model’s blue eyes pop. To lift eyes up, use that same brown contouring powder & make a “V” in the outer corner of the eye.
No look is complete without a dramatic swipe of jet-black mascara. Apply they’re real! to upper lashes first, then don’t forget your bottom lashes. It’s the key to a well-balanced smokey eye.
