My friends' annual gift exchange is next week and as much as I loved my "Olive to Party" pillow that I got last year (think green oval pillow), I think we need to step up the gifting to something...oh, a little more useful. On moving day, my boyfriend stopped what he was doing and just stared as I set up my makeup drawers & bathroom counter with 20 brushes and all of the Benefit products that I've accumulated over the years. For 3 years and counting our family here at Beauty Central has been participating in the American Heart Association Heart Walk in SF. Approximately 125 people signed up for the walk and helped to raise money for such a deserving cause. I of course brought my camera along for the stroll and got some great pics of "Team Benefit" in action.

For the 4th of July, my family took a champagne cruise around NY Harbor. It was really cool. While admiring "Lady Liberty" from a far, I couldn’t take my eyes of Lady Lana (my sis!) sitting right across from me. She was so boat-chic. "Its all about playing with brights and keeping it casually comfortable." She wore yellow stretch jeans, a tailored denim blazer to keep within the nautical theme and a chunky necklace and fedora to keep her look stylish and fun!
