There once was a time when glasses were not considered “geek chic” or “hipster.” It was also at this time, that my high school volleyball coach threatened to kick me off the team if I did not invest in contacts or sports goggles. To Costco I went, to purchase my astigmatism special contact lenses. They were painful, itchy, and fell out more than once during a game.
Remember the glory days of paint-by-number, when instructions were crystal clear and you always ended up with a masterpiece. Last summer, I took a little road trip with my friend. Well, it was a 3,000+ mile route from SF to Boston. She was moving there and I was...I was...I guess I just wanted to see new parts of the country I hadn't seen before: yellowstone national park, mt. rushmore, the mississippi.
